Tim Berners-Lee
Tim was born on the 8th of June 1955, in London. He is a British computer sciencist who created the world wide web in 1989. He is the professor of engineering at the school of engineering. Tim is the director of the world wide web foundation, launched in 2009: ( http://www.webfoundation.org/wp-content/cache/supercache/www.webfoundation.org// ) . He is dependant on London's Open Data Institute. On March 18 2013, Tim, along with Vinton Cerf, Robert Kahn, Louis Pouzin and Marc Andreesen, was awarded the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering for "ground-breaking innovation in engineering that has been of global benefit to humanity."
